Phillip Arctander designed “clam shell” armchair.
Scandinavian modern armchair designed by Phillip Arctander and first introduced circa 1944 and produced by Nordisk Staal & Møbel Central, Denmark. Chair is constructed of stained beech wood. Newly restored and reupholstered in “cruelty free” faux sheep skin fabric and detailed with a series of buttons. This is a rare rocker version of this chair the angled runners are reminiscent of cross country skis.
